The students of Klukwan School and Mosquito Lake School were stellar in last evenings performance of The Granny Awards.  There was music and dancing for all who came to view the extravaganza.

Great job Mrs. Sears, Ms. Mcfeeters & Ms. Holmes,you marshalled the troops.

Many thanks to all those behind the scenes. The show would not have gone on without you. Parents your support in transportation, coaching, costumes & refreshments made the event truley spectacular.   CIV thanks for all the heavy lifting & sound equipment.

This was a spectacular valley community production. We can't wait for next year!!!

The Klukwan School, Jilkáat Language and Culture program and Chilkat Indian Village are honored to announce that they will once again be hosting Culture Days

Last years Culture Day was so successful that the event has been expanded .  
 
Culture Days  April 23rd & April 24th

April 23rd's opening ceremony will start at the Kaay Ya Haayi Hít-Long House at 8:30 AM
There will be a ceremony to welcome home the three items that were repatriated from the Denver Nature & Science Museum.  
 
April 24th the opening ceremony will be held at the Klukwan School Gym
 
This years offerings include: Carving , Weaving, Story telling.& history, Lingit Basketball, Dance ,Basic Lingit & door prizes.
Once again we would like to encourage  your group to visit us to share in the celabration of Cuture Days

Klukwan students from grades K through 10 went to Juneau and learned to ski and snowboard.  All students took lessons for two days in the morning and then had the rest of the afternoon to practice their skills.  They were the last off the mountain each day and fun was had by all!
