Happy 100th Day of School!
Angoon elementary students celebrated their 100th day of school yesterday! They counted hundreds of objects, read hundreds of words, and hopefullly smiled a hundred smiles all day long. The K/1 kids even made 100 mini pies for our party! Apple, cherry and blueberry...yum!
In the afternoon, the children were in mixed age groups (grades 1 through 6) and traveled to each of the classrooms for a different "100" themed activity. In Mrs. Dorsey's room, the contest was to be the first group to work together and balance 100 blocks in a tricky math game. It was a blast !!
We all celebrated afterwards at a party with all the kids in the elementary school in BRAVE Mrs. Kookesh's room. We are 100 days smarter! Yea!
Sea Week

Dear Parents,
The Head Start and Elementary Grades K-5th will be going on a field trip to Killisnoo on April 27th at 9:00 a.m. Please send your child on time - we don’t want them to miss the van. This is part of our science program called sea week. The students will be focusing on different types of mollusks and bivalves. The elementary school students do not need to bring lunches, they will be provided by the school. They will need to wear play clothes and bring boots and a change of cloths in case they get wet because we will be at the beach until after noon. We will go even if the weather is overcast, so make sure your child is dressed warm. The students can also bring extra juice or water in a bottle for this trip. If you’re interested in helping out by being a group leader, please give one of us a call us at 788-3262 ext. 245 (Dorsey) ext. 248 (Kookesh) or ext. 249 (Duncan), or sign up on the permission slip below. The students must return the bottom portion to go on the field trip. Students will be dismissed at 1:00 p.m. from the school building after they return from the beach.
