Preventive Maintenance

Regulation 4 AAC 31.013 states that in order for a school district to be eligible for state aid under AS 14.11.011 the district must be in compliance with a facility management program that addresses the following five elements of facility management:

1. A maintenance management program that tracks the timing and costs of school maintenance.
2. Energy management plan
3. Custodial program
4. Training program
5. Renewal and Replacement schedules

Chatham School District has been working toward that goal utilizing a maintenance management system developed by the Southeast Regional Resource Center (SERRC). Significant progress has been made toward complying with the regulation this past year.
