Julene Kearns Special Education Aide September 2003 through May 2004
Gustavus School has a Special Education Resource Room. We are equipped with chairs, tables, computers, desks, and games, and supplies to assist teachers in the learning process. The atmosphere in our room is cheerful and inviting. It is a positive place to learn.
I have been working as a Special Education aide here in the Gustavus School. I have received training from the District Specialist and a speech therapist. I work with several students focusing on speech. Others I work with to enhance study skills or any other subjects they need assistance with. I work with middle school and upper elementary. Our school also works with any preschool or part-time students. Our goal is to help the students succeed and realize their educational goals. All of the professional staff here are concerned with the success of their students. It is a pleasure working with a great staff of teachers |
