As we head into cold and flu season, we want to remind families of our school sickness guidelines.
Please keep your child home when they are sick and not well enough to comfortably participate in a normal school day.
Students should stay home for:
Fever of 100.4°F or higher
Vomiting more than twice within 24 hours
Diarrhea that is causing accidents, is bloody, or is occurring more than twice above what is normal for your child
Respiratory symptoms that are worsening or not improving
Fever with a new or unexplained rash
Significant fatigue, body aches, or other symptoms that make it difficult to participate in the school day
Students with a fever should be fever-free for at least 24 hours without fever-reducing medication before returning.
A mild runny nose, occasional cough, or other minor symptom does not necessarily mean your child needs to stay home if they are otherwise feeling well, fever-free, and able to participate.
Thank you for helping us keep our students and staff healthy!
